Read the New Testament in 90 Days

Read the New Testament in 90 Days–or 4 times in one year!

90 Day NT Bible Reading Plan

My wife Zonya created this plan for her own use. She did a good job dividing the NT into equal-length readings, and the schedule allows for at least one catch-up day each month.

There are two versions included in this plan:

  • The main version that follows the standard NT order of books
  • An alternate version that includes at least one Gospel per month

If you get temporarily burned-out on the OT (as my wife did!) or just want to soak deeply in the words of Christ and his apostles for a while, this is a great Bible reading plan for you.

If you find this plan useful, leave a thank-you here for Zonya. 🙂

  1. Hi Zonya,

I love the alternate NT reading plan! I’ve just finished studying through ACTS, and wasn’t sure what to read next. This recommendation came just in time. 🙂 Thank you for compiling and for sharing your reading plan.

  2. Thank you so much for this Bible Plan. Our church has agreed to in our personal quiet times to read the Gospels for 1 year. It is to get to know the heart of Jesus better. So for now I will just be using the first part of this plan over and over. But it helps me know how much to read and how much time it should take me to get through the Gospels. Blessings to you.

  3. I’m going to print out the alternate plan and use it! Thanks! We are also using the reading plan you made for Priya in our family devotions. So we’re indebted to you guys! 🙂

    1. Melanie, I’m so glad you are putting these plans to use! 🙂 And if you or James have feedback on the Beginner’s Plan, I’d love to hear it, so I can consider possible improvements.

  4. Thank you so much for this. I intend to share it with our pastor. Wishing all of you God’s good blessings. Best, Madelyn, Dwight’s errant student.

  5. Dear Zonya, we’ve just finished using your alternate plan as a group. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I am using it again this next year too! Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  6. Thx. Did this for 2019 and plan to go to 2020. Made it through 3 times – aiming for 4. Adding a psalm and proverb each day too. Needed a bite size way to read scripture as I cope with special needs children that have made reading quietly a challenge. Blessings.
