After teaching high school in the Bronx for three years, I “retired” in 2006 to teach piano full-time. Ten years later, I can still say that giving piano lessons is about the best thing I’ve ever done to put food on our table. (Reselling used books on Amazon was also fun!)
I didn’t do as much piano teaching in Iowa. But now that we’re in Atlanta, I have a comfortable new studio and many potential students. I hope piano lessons can again become a primary source of our income.
